Eddy beta

Requirements

What you need to be one of the 10 founding creators. We check these with you before you get access.

Your Mac

• A Mac with Apple silicon and 16 GB of memory or more. Intel Macs are not supported.
• An internet connection. Eddy does not work fully offline.
• The macOS version needed is still being confirmed.

Your AI account

• A ChatGPT or Claude subscription. Eddy runs on it.
• Your plan's usage limits apply. Eddy adds no credits of its own.

Your videos

• You make talking-head or screen-recorded YouTube videos. That is what Eddy has been tested on.
• They must be videos you can publish.
• You have every permission you need to use and publish them, including from anyone who appears in them.
• No confidential client footage.
• Back up your originals before you start. Eddy is a beta, so keep a copy somewhere safe.

What to expect from a beta

• Eddy is still being tested. Expect bugs and rough edges.
• Some recordings may not work well yet. Telling us when that happens is part of the beta.
• Keep your originals backed up, and check every edit before you publish.

What we ask of you

• Honest feedback on the weekly calls.
• The founding deal, as on Beta information: a short video testimonial, permission to show your before and after, a 15-minute call each week for the first month, and an "Edited by Eddy" end card or description link on the videos you make with Eddy.

What is not required

• No fee and no card.
• No diagnostics, call recording or quote unless you agree to each one separately.
• Diagnostics are optional. The plan is that you can preview them and redact anything before you send them.
• Sharing footage with us, recording a call and publishing a quote each need their own separate consent.
